TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (May 28, 2018) – Tallahassee Community College women's cross country runner Rachel Williams has been recognized for her work in the classroom.
Williams was named a Women's Cross Country Scholar All-American by the NJCAA Cross Country Coaches Association.
To be eligible, participants had to achieve a minimum 3.40 GPA in the Fall 2017 term.
Williams, a native of Altha, Fla., completed her first season on the trails for Tallahassee in the fall, helping the team to a third-place finish in the NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA State Cross Country Championships, where she ran a season-best 23:33.6 in the 5000m.
Williams' work in the classroom also earned her a spot on the College's Dean's List for the Fall 2017 term.
