TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (October 21, 2019) – Tallahassee Community College’s softball team has received team and individual honors in the Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete Awards for the 2018-19 academic year.
The Eagles placed 30th nationally with a team GPA of 3.30 in 2018-19 and were one of just 44 schools across all three associations of two-year athletics to receive team honors.
Individually, more than 600 student-athletes from two-year programs garnered Easton Scholar-Athlete honors, including seven different Eagles, for achieving a minimum 3.50 GPA during the last academic year.
Desera’ Wishart and Ismay Poot led the way for Tallahassee, posting a 4.0 GPA. Katelyn Hobbs, Kathy Rios, Lily Adams, Olivia Russell and River Glenn rounded out the Eagles’ academic all-stars.
