TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (September 15, 2018) – There was no team event on Tallahassee Community College's cross country schedule, but that didn't stop a couple of the Eagles' runners from getting in some extra work at Saturday's annual Salute to Prefontaine Forest Run 5K.

The race, hosted by Gulf Winds Track Club, took place at Silver Lake.

Male runner Simon Hodgson and female participant Genevieve Printiss represented the Eagles.

Hodgson clocked a 19:29, finishing in fifth place among male runners and fifth overall. Printiss, meanwhile, ran a 22:52, second-best among female runners and 15th overall.

With the first half of the season in the books, the Eagles will enjoy a nice break before running in its signature event of the 2018 season – the FSU Invitational on Friday, October 12 at Apalachee Regional Park.
