TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (November 6, 2018) – Tuesday's highly-anticipated men's basketball showdown between Region 8 No. 5 Tallahassee Community College and No. 4 (and NJCAA No. 18) Daytona State College was called just after the second half began due to a slick playing floor inside the Bill Hebrock Eagledome.
The game was officially declared a "no contest" with 19:34 remaining in the game and with Tallahassee holding a 33-31 lead.
Both Tallahassee and Daytona State remain 2-0 on the season, as the game will have no bearing on the teams' records and game statistics will not count.
Tallahassee will resume play on Friday when it travels to Marianna, Fla., to play Lawson (Ala.) State Community College in the Chipola College Classic. Tip-off is at 4 p.m. eastern.
Tallahassee knocked off Lawson State in last Friday's season opener, 105-59.
